The question is, will you be around to see what happens?

Probably not. Waiting on a load to Orlando that loads tomorrow afternoon, then home to unload the majority of my unnecessary gear and pick up my work history list so I get the dates correct when I finally pick which company I would feel comfortable working for. Thought about Wylie, but not sure about them, they don't have the best reviews from former drivers.

Call Tyson foods recruiting. Heard they got a couple cold storages somewhere in Fl and had hired a few drivers from Fl. It is reefer and someplaces have long wait times but the miles and money is there.

Found out about how much weight my truck can haul on a double drop and still be legal.

Did a more accurate count of vehicles. There were 19 trucks at the shop, 16 didn't have personal gear in them. Another driver I spoke to said an un-named source told him that there were 30-35 empty trucks in Mascot (not sure how reliable his source is). So, from a fleet of 150-175 trucks, that is an estimated 50+ empty units waiting new recruits.

Another driver I spoke to said that they had applied with Wylie, and because of a Daseke policy, Moore had to give their o.k. for him to transfer over, but they refused, so Wylie couldn't proceed with the transfer. If I decide to move to Wylie, I hope they don't fight it. The sole reason I would consider any of the other Daseke companies is so I don't have to go thru the usual delay in having health insurance.

It always amazes me that a company would rather have a driver quit than let him switch divisions.

Small minded pencil pushing middle managers and their little fiefdoms...

I have a question for anyone who changed jobs. When I left Big G, I returned their truck to the yard they asked me to, and gave advanced notice (not quite 2 full weeks, but more than 1 week). I spoke to a corporate cubicle dweller the Friday before I turned in the keys about why I was leaving, and what they need to improve to keep drivers...etc. The only thing I didn't comply with was the weekend dispatcher said I had to do an exit interview, which I felt I had done with the cubicle dweller...and I would have done with him except I had Uber on the way, and I was waiting in line behind another driver at the window for 15-20 min while this half-whit dispatcher waddled back and forth from desk to desk then back to the window looking for paperwork for the other drivers load. On my DAC, they have it shown as "returned equipment to unauthorized location", and "quit W/O notice". Neither of which is true...The question, is "returned equipment to unauthorized location" how they word abandonment? Did Big G just screw me so I have to go thru DAC and refute that before I apply at another company?
