1 year 3 months experience in dry van, reefer and tanker under my belt. Considering flatbed but If I make the switch I would like to avoid the bottom feeder mega companies out there and find a good paying company that will train an experienced guy where I can get trained and make decent money from the start. I but my ### for whoever I work for so I’m not trying to job hop. Located in eastern PA about an hour from Harrisburg , Allentown, reading and Scranton/Wilkes barre and I’m 2 hours from Philly. Any suggestions would be great thanks

Thanks for the reply man I follow you a lot on here. Always very helpful. I have my eye on them but it seems btc and Boyd want someone with 3 months “flatbed” experience so I was hesitant to apply. On top of that when I looked at their individual websites it was hard for me to compare which has better pay and benefits. I need good health benefits

PI&I Motor Express is Teamsters, so has good health insurance.
Don't know how good the company is.

How close are you to Brookfield, OH - think you have to live within 150 or 125 miles of a terminal. There are two terminals in Ohio.

    This company is also Teamsters.
I'm not a big fan of unions; tried it one time, but truthfully, you can't find better health insurance plan.

I’m over 200 miles from Pittsburgh I’m going to apply to Boyd and btc and see where it goes from there. Saw pgt and eastern freightways. Going to look at pi&i as well. Is it possible to make 75k doing flatbed?

Probably be a struggle to make $75K, but not impossible.
If you're a military veteran, can get some supplemental health insurance through www.usaa.com

Easy to make $75K + doing line haul with companies like Old Dominion, Estes Express, R&L Carriers.
