I worked for Schneider for 5 years both at a drop lot and a dedacated route. The job was fine they were crap. Every time schneider needs money they take away from the drivers and the health insurance is expensive. They have children right out of high school doing dispatch.

Schneider doesn't need money . 2008 was one of their best years ever . It's all about greed . The rich get richer and the poor get poorer . Working for Schneider is like hauling cheap freight . You're paying them to let you drive their truck . The more they cut pay and slow the trucks down the more money comes out of your pocket .

I have to disagree about working for them is like hauling cheap freight. If you are a company driver things do look a little grim right now. But as a I/C things are holding steady. They do have cheap freight, but there is also very good freight...all it takes is a little time and effort. I hauled 3 short loads last week that paid 2.35 a mile including deadhead. Schneider does have many problems, and they need to correct them before creating more...like the wage freeze.

My bro worked for them 1 year and quit and he agrees w/the cutting down truck speed and wages. Went from 67 MPH to 62. But they pay for your boots.

I drove for Schneider And they asked me to help out because they were short of drivers on the dedicated account i was with. I worked thur my days off I was on a 6 and 2. Which caused me to go over my 70hrs because i didnt think about working the 14 days instead of my 6 days I needed to change my hrs. I got a hand shake and a thank you and then was fired for busting my 70. Never had a accident or late for a dilevery dbl alway teling you to go go go when i did see what happened Just cant figure this one out.

I'd say you were on the same account I was on until I saw you live in a different state. I knew it wasn't just me. For Schneider you're either going to follow corporate rules, which they pay third party companies to keep track on you, or you make your dispatcher happy. ###### if you do, ###### if you don't.
