So my boss tells me I'm going to be doing a dedicated run. I'll pick up a loaded trailer at 0300, drive 325 miles to another of our dropyards, drop it for the relay driver, grab a trailer with dunnage if there is one. If not, I deadhead back. 650 miles total, 646 of which are interstate miles. Monday-Friday with the option of doing it Saturday if I want. Pay is 46 cents per mile Monday-Friday and 50 cpm on Saturdays. It's 5-5.25 hours each way. Truck runs 70 MPH.
I found the holy grail!!

Sounds good except for the fact that at my age, I only want to see 3 o'clock once a day..... enjoy your new run.

That's ok, for a while. I did something similar, it gets incredibly boring, almost like a factory job. The allure of trucking , for me, was I got to go different places. Best of luck.

Personally, I would be all over that!

That’s ideal, especially if your home life demands a schedule. I did a similar deal, hated th run after a few months, but weighed against the home time. It was great. Did it for 7 yrs. The stability of an inside job, without being inside. Congratulations, get your sleep, and stay awake!!! Good money, too , Option of extra, icing on the cake.
