@Chinatown. I’m on a run similar to linehaul and driving the same route every single day is so boring I can’t stand it. I was under the impression being there was more work involved flatbed would make a bit more money and I would be able to get out and interact with freight. I need to break up my day instead of run endless miles. Also, being I am an hour away from all major cities I did the local thing with a commute and it was a miserable existence lol I would consider relocating but the cost of living in my area is so low the cost of rent is literally more then double once you leave. Thanks for all your great help

I’m on a similar run to linehaul and I can’t stand being on the same roadways every single day it’s maddening lol I thought with flatbed I’d make better money and be able to interact with freight instead of just holding a steering wheel all day. I’m more of few stops person then running endless miles. All good paying local jobs are an hour away in each direction and I did the whole commute thing a while ago. Long story short after working 12-14 hours a day with commuting two hours in between was very hard. Thanks for all your help man

Many line haul drivers make $100K.
Estes Express in York might hire you. Most terminals want 12 mos. experience, but York has "24 mos exp. preferred", but does not say, "required."
Apply online and maybe luck out.

You can keep more of your paycheck and have lower cost of living in states with better tax structure, such as no personal income taxes. I know this isn't practical for everyone.

Melton likes their cameras, both forward and driver.

Update. I applied for Estes regional/Otr out of their kutztown terminal. Gave me the job on the spot and sent me for a drug screen/physical. I was very confused because he did not send me for a road test but I didn’t ask questions. Thanks @Chinatown for all the helpful advice. I guess my last question is should I mention something about the road test or just let it go? I’ve never heard of a company not giving a road test for pre-hire and don’t want anything messed up with my in-processing

Let it go, he probably "gun decked" it; also known as "pencil whipped" to cover himself. He trusts you, so don't let him down.
