Abandonment is stated as such. That other BS they put down is just that, BS. Any recruiter will tell you that wording is a nonissue.

SSB, as angry as you were when you left there, I would take those things as sort of a compliment.

I was actually more P/O'd when I left Raven, but they didn't put anything negative on it...I guess I should be happy that Big G didn't put "offered to shove truck up dispatcher's butt" on there.

I would put an explanation on your DAC to tell your side to prospective employers. Sounds like Big G plays the same type of games that Magnum was playing when drivers left.

Maybe it makes them feel superior
in some way by screwing around with
the DAC ( to feel superior falls onto
the spectrum of human needs )

They just don’t seem to like it when people walk away from them

    Who knows

    :dontknow:

I don't think it's just your company that is slow right now. Glass is just slow now. I just came back from time off at Mav and drove to Laurinburg to find out that there are 15+ drivers waiting for load assignment and there doesn't appear to be any atm. This past weekend there was not much also I was told.

Apparently this information wasn't something that could have been given to me before I left home. I could have enjoyed another week off.

I guess from now on I should ask if my presence is required. I don't get mad about it but I'd much rather just be at home and if I'm there for too many weeks in a row then I'll understand that it's time to find new employment.

I spoke to a Maverick driver in Orlando yesterday, he said things were slow as well for him. He said that he is thinking about going back to being a loader out of Laurinburg.

Could all the storms we have been having the last month and a half have somethig to do with how slow it is? Cant put the glass in cause its always raining

Maybe in the midwest with the flooding, but with all the other areas, usually bad weather means more business in glass.

Not to hijack your thread but between the insight you and others on this site have offered on Big G, I certainly dodged a bullet. The snobby recruiter should’ve been the biggest red flag, they don’t even wait to sucker you thru the door before giving you the disposable treatment
