This week coming anywhere near the strip or coming thru Las Vegas on the 15 is not worth it. The road construction will be a nightmare for all you guys just passing thru. We’re gonna be paving around the clock to get the finish asphalt laid out at/near the spaghetti bowl. I15/us95 interchange.

Thanks. I am rolling into SoCal tomorrow, and then taking a 34. There's a fair chance whatever I get coming out might roll through Vegas. I will time it for very early AM, if there isn't a good alternate route.

last summer had the chance to go TWICE! great paying loads to say the least!

Parked at the very end of the strip at the Westgate, its free, security drives thru and monitors it pretty regularly, and its at the very end of the strip so a little less traffic. Only downside is being so far from the main casinos I love (MGM, The Wynn ETC.)

best buffet in my opinion The Mirage!

Check out trucker path for truck stops, railroad travel center where the 11 93 and 95 meet, and look for trucks parked on dirt sections of north vegas near Decatur and elkhorn north of the 215. Always see trucks parked on the dirt shoulders, as well as Las Vegas Blvd on the south side. Lots of trucks park there on the dirt shoulders.

I see a business idea here if your Mr. Chinatown ....

Mr. Chinatown finds a couple acres in Las Vegas for safe secured truck parking. He could call it Mr. Chinatown’s safe secure Las Vegas truck parking. $15.00 a day. If he is bored he could give rides to the casinos for the drivers. Parking is actually a very lucrative business. When the new owners of the LA Dodgers took over from last owner Frank Mcourt parking was the only sticking point , the only thing the past owner wouldn’t give up. LA Chargers are now getting $100.00 for parking. I remember a couple decades ago paying $20 for parking at a rock concert and almost fainted.
