Tested in a manual transmission. Have Hazmat and Tanker and even TWIC. Gonna talk with a few of the temp agencies to see what they are working with. But the availability for Class A is heavy. Compared to Class B availability it's a hemorrhage. How much hiring they are doing is clearly another story for someone with limited tractor trailer experience obviously. At any rate, just wanna say hi and thanks for having me. An interesting place by far. I love the varying opinions on the field. Feel I can learn a lot.
Acquired a Class B. Looking like a Class A is really the better bet.

Welcome and glad to have you. Yes, you are correct. There are many more options with a Class A license. I would make the effort to upgrade it asap if you want to expand your options.
amomentum4411 and motocross25 Thank this. -
Welcome. What kind of work are you looking to get into? The reason I ask is if it’s dump trucking or even some local tanker gigs, a class B may not be TOO far out of the realm of what a Class A holder would have. Just might hafta do a bit more digging on the job boards is all.

I'm not above running a pump truck either.
This is in SE Louisiana by the way. -

This is virtually chemical tank heaven territory, isn't it? He shouldn't have too much trouble finding a Class A gig to suit his needs.amomentum4411 Thanks this. -

In Arkansas the people involve in ready mix has given me all the work I could stand in anything with wheels including a wheeled loader for rock and sand. That turned out to be a form of play time and not so much a job. That was 20 years ago. I could get into any wheeled loader now and go right to work without a problem.
If you find that you are among idiots like that boss man was back in Maryland you will find better ground elsewhere in the USA. With people who will put you right to work. Never you mind that Class B so much, it's still a good license to have. However if you are in for a penny might as well go the whole Pound and get the A CDL.amomentum4411 Thanks this. -
