Food service guys, what do you eat for energy? I’ve been doing food service for a year and finger print anywhere from 12,000-16,000 lbs of boxes a day. My go-to snack has always been Banana, I tried eating Apples, but it doesn’t work as good as Bananas. I’m wondering if there’s anything better that gives you instant energy, hydration, vitamins, electrolytes, etc.

I try not to eat because we have to have breakfast lunch and dinner everyday, that's too much. Apples certainly, Cantelopes is a favorite, it hydrates as well as provides mass. but prior to doing massive lumping work I put away a good meal.
Ever since I was a kid, when the body had enough of the day and is losing power, a hershey bar is a pick up. So that with hydration works out pretty well. However it's only temporary. Say 3 hours worth. So continue to hydrate and pace yourself. Get rested when you finish. You are going to be hungry and that is good. But shaky hungry is never good. Because if your brain decides it cannot stay on line, it will switch off and put you into a bad position between consciousness and unconsciousness that will require some ER time to IV rebalance your chemistry again.Rideandrepair and cjackel2 Thank this. -
This is actually fun. I get it and good for them just trying to get a hit on a website. I'm getting slow right now, so maybe I'm vulerable.....I don't now..But I kinow what I know and I can driver.

Zipfizz drink mix off amazon. Seriously look it up. Has more potassium than anything else on the planet. Over 1,000mg. Plus other electrolytes that you wouldn’t even get after 25 gatorades.

Maintenance of energy is how to think of it.
I do a different job, but I have a sandwich or similar every 4-5 hours. (No chips, etc). I can zap something in microwave and eat it quickly.
You don’t take care of yourself, expect injuries and then chronic problems later. (Body first).
