i hate it when guys say "oh the forklift will be with ya" and a telehandler shows up. Yeah, that's not a forklift.

also was at a construction project and they had a HUGE one, just popped off these 35,000lb concrete boxes like nothing. I asked the guy and he said rated at like 70,000lbs. It was huge. (oh look i did take a picture)

im a big fan of those big forklifts that they load steel beams or heavy ####. it take 1 hr for the small forks to load the trailer and u show up at the site and they just take the whole load off in 2 loads.. takes longer to get paperwork signed. makes me very happy flatbedder

Yeah, they make those hysters big. That and silent hoist I've seen. Ever seen one with an extendable rear axle/counterweight?

he had chains over and side to side, paired chains hooked on top to the deck, one around the back , and a pair from the lower flange to the front of the trailer.
The belts were there to add extra w.w.l to the rear. Because the trailer is aluminum he only uses 3/8 gr70 chain because the attachment points are rated at 5500# or 6600# for pullups.
The bunk he is using is a modified front 5 or 6 feet of a trailer with d rings mounted.
The only thing I/we did different was to run crossed chains between the bunk and trailer and a loop around the front

    jamespmack Thanks this.

There’s a fan shop on the south side of Columbus that has two identical to that. Older than most of us I would imagine

Remember when we went to make a Xerox? Now we call it a photocopy. Xerox was the first.

Same as the Pettibone. First to the market.
