As owner op..who is the cheapest insurance? ..n i have a question..im n a bit of a spot..i own my own semi..bought cash..but no insurance..haven't gotten a DOT inspection..i thought i could get a fleet to do that..then take out there payment from my checks...but now im told by my previous fleet..i need to get my DOT from a outside shop..n get my own insurance.and get a fleet number .b4 they can work on my semi.. So im like..then y did your recruiter tell me opposite..so need some experienced owner op info..of what to do???

Go anywhere to get a dot, ins progressive ooida find out the state u live in look for commercial ins, liability, comp and collision, don't need workman's comp unless you want to

Dont matter miles, try progressive for liability, call around for comp and collision, can't afford down payment call ooida pay them join fee

If you own the truck out right you don’t need comp insurance, if you are going to run under their authority they have to obtain the liability and cargo, you can’t.
You can get a dot inspection at any truck stop that has a shop. -
