I got a kick out of the PTSD awareness message. Professional Truckers Stressed by Dispatch.

Can anybody answer this for me? How many days of time off can you take before CFI asks you to clean out your truck because you'll be gone for too long?

I can't get a definite answer, but I can say I was out for 13 days and it wasn't an issue. But, I think it all depends on the circumstances.

Yeah I ended up calling my current fleet manager and she told me typically around 1o days is when CFI start to not like it but I called my last fleet manager whom I had a great connection with and she told me 28 days. Lol.. I'm sure I'll be fine.

I think the number is 10, but they don't seem to enforce it...I think they save the rule for problem children. If you are a problem, and you want 11 days off they tell you they need your truck, and they will find you another one when you get back. If you quit because you don't want the hassle, problem solved.

If in Breaux Bridge, go to Crazy About Crawfish. It's a little ways down from Pilot, across the highway from Walmart. Pretty good gumbo and etouffe. They have other things besides crawfish.

You're in the heart of Cajun Country, Chinese buffet??
