Autos are fine in bad weather. The Mack I drove in Michigan had the mDrive auto. After I got used to it, I preferred it over a stick.

My only issue, I think would be trying to rock it out if stuck. Don’t think you can do that with a auto.

I was able to pull it out of sloped docks on snow.

Probably should be more worried about the bendix CMS system in bad weather than the auto. Some of these systems are picking up stuff they shouldn't be and stab breaking or just faulting and stab breaking randomly. Kind of scary because it is pretty aggressive. The autos are meh.... lot better if you have the reverse crawl mode activated. Other than that, they just shift slow.

Thankfully we are still are buying trucks with a standard 10 speed. Don't know if they plan on switching to autos in the future. Hope they don't.

I don't think you'll like that Eaton Auto. A Volvo auto, yes. I was disappointed with that Eaton.

I just got home this morning. First time home in 3 1/2 months. Yes I am done.
I wouldn't even have opened my eyes to anything else. But for the above I posted.
Found what seems great for me.
    Oil Field
    Water and pneumatic tanker
Out of Gillette. Which is 2 hours from my home.
4 day on, 2 day off schedule. So I go home on the 2 days.
Right now Oil Field pay is down. Even now. $100K is realistic and doable. If you haul less than $75K/yr. They'll probably get rid of you.
I just couldn't pass this up. Too good of an opportunity. Know it's gonna be tough in winter.

I think Magnum is a very good company. Left on good terms. People telling me I'm welcome back anytime. I really did enjoy OTR. Surprised at how good so many shippers/receivers were.
If I do OTR again. Need to be a little smarter on my health. I got to being kinda 'flat lined' as far as health. Need more exercise. Also need to get away from those Buffets. Stick stricter to my nutrition plan with my minerals.

Ray Strack, Zata40, Muskie and 2 others Thank this.

ADM pays 100% for the first 4% then 50% on the next 2%and they automatically give us 1% extra

In Florida again. It's been sunny all day. Then went through a heavy, dark, thick patch of clouds with severely intense rain. Everyone was going under 25 miles per hour. It only lasted about 5 minutes. Then back to beautiful and sunny again. Crazy stuff.

Ewwww. Anything less than 100% on 6% is garbage. But hey, I'm a princess, or spoiled by good employers. If I went OTR again, Magnum would be my first look.

Jealous of you! Enjoy FL man! There is a pilot or flying J down there that is 50 miles from one of the cold storages they run to from Jamestown. Decent ribs across the street!
