They won't move when used with a strap. When empty use a bungee to keep them all bundled together.

If its too far down to reach with a nut, use a Riv-nut on it.

Just drill a hole and put the bolt all the way through. The nut on the end will keep the winches from sliding off and it's removable if you want to add more.

The rivet is all that is necessary, because it isn't a load-bearing piece...it's only job is to prevent the winches from falling off if they aren't being used. Personally, I'd just rivet them back on...quick and easy.

  7. shouldnt you be using double LL winch's on that trac.

Removed all the rivets. replaced with lager screws 5/16. bolted up nice and snug..

probably swap out all the original winches with racheting winches by next week.

might be overkill but now I have a nice 24 winches

    Lepton1 and HoneyBadger67 Thank this.

99% of your load will require 12 or less straps.
I have 15 sliding winches and 5 two inch ratchet straps.
    Never felt under equipped.

Maybe the loads you haul. Not everyone hauls sticks and bricks.
