    I ordered a 6 pack of injectors for my 12.7 in a 2000 W9
    I'll keep the forum posted.
The price and core was beyond reasonable

Meaning , way under my expected cost based on Detroit and our freightliner dealer here

I've been reading through all these 12.7 Detroit forums for 2yrs now. And have found so many answers to many questions I've had. I would like to share my build with you because I feel obligated to do so and hope it will help another. I searched and bought a 2000 t600 with a 1999 12.7 Detroit from factory. Put about $40gs into it . Full tilt manifold, 171702 Borg warner, k&n filter and Walker megaflow out the back. Diesel dr diagnostics in effingham tuned it to 600hp 1850trq. I was a little sceptical because there was some negative reviews about them. So I was still having a problem with overboosting. Power would cut out at around 35psi. So then I booked it into Pittsburgh Power. They pressure tested the turbo system and I had a small leak at the boost sensor. Didn't fix it because the bolts were very tight and didn't want to snap them. However after the first dyno run the guys at PP said the tune was very good. It put 2077 ft lbs of torque and 589hp to the pavement. After a few adjustments and final dyno run, 603hp and 2002 ft lbs of torque. All at peak 854 deg exhaust temp. Pretty awesome for a 20yr old engine. So good job Diesel Dr and awesome job Pittsburgh Power

join the facebook page series 60 support and you will discover diesel doc tunes are a time bomb. i ran their tune and had the truck retuned yesterday. the timing maps were all over the place and fuel was all over the place. retuned it to better maps and the truck pulls even better. there are multiple posts on the fb page how diesel doc tunes are garbage. few guys blew the motors cuz timing was all over and over fueling 28%

Everyone throws vague #s around, but no real info on the tunes. How about some settings? What’s the big secret? Never any real info. Because there isn’t any, just a bunch of the same old talk. % of fuel increase. If a teenager can tune his Honda with an iPhone. You’d think a Truckdriver could at least find out what’s been done to his ecm. Without a dyno test before and after, I would be skeptical of anyone’s “Tune” . I highly doubt anyone has a secret. 40 g’s, is a ton of cash to spend on a 12.7, I hope you at least got a chrome valve cover, out of the deal.

Which diesel doc? The one in Effingham has been a great tune for me. I’m a little over 2 years and completely happy with the tune. There are imposter’s running around, so I’m only talking about the physical location in Effingham IL. I’m happy to introduce you to a shop/fleet owner in Joliet that has 3 blown motors from Pittsburgh power tunes and they’re 10x’s the price.

Effingham il diesel doc tunes. Fuel curve was off so was timing from 1350 rpm to 1400 was advanced +3 degrees. Truck felt like a s stroke on the power band and would fall on its face after 1600rpm. Were timing was pulled
