I don't work for them.
But the guys that I meet who do, seem to like it. -
Thank you, -
Seriously... You'll drive all over the country. But not New England, or California.
The Midwest has the hottest, highest paying loads in the country. You'll spend alot of time in and out of Midwest. Chicago, Minneapolis, Ohio, Penn. alot. Minneapolis has the company yard you'll visit the most. Really nice yard. You'll do some loads that are hot. That means short time to get there. Can't fool around. But face it. Those loads pay more. You're making more for the company. Some dealing with brokers.
I rationalize that Magnum does discriminate who they do business with. Biggest surprise to me was the shippers and receivers. In general. Most of them really good. They understand when it's 3am and you're not doing good mentally. Not condescending. But make things clear and easy for you.
The people are really good. Yes they're people. No people are perfect. But good.
Much is really thought out well and smart. Like no stupid super singles on anything! If you need to pay for parking now and then. They'll cover it. But don't do it alot.
Pay is every Friday. From the previous week that ends on Sat.
Great benefits and 401k choices.
Starting pay with bonuses works out to low 50 cents a mile. Depends on how much of a mileage bonus you get. It's 10, 11, and 13k miles. Each higher bonus per mile. Also depends on if you earn the other bonuses. But mileage is the biggest one. 10 cents a mile of your pay is per diem. I like that. That isn't taxed. Bonus is paid out once a month. One month I got 14,417 miles in. That bonus paycheck (the next month) after taxes, 401k and all deducted. I brought home $1,859. That is a one week paycheck with the monthly bonus. I think this is walking all over the mega's on pay.Last edited: Jul 4, 2019

Not last I knew.
Although much of Magnum is a wonderful company. I left there...
Safety department is insecure and incompetent. Came up with a tangent of an excuse to refuse giving me drive cam video to defend myself against a ticket.
So incompetent. He doesn’t even know that a construction zone is all about the safety of the workers.
So bad. They took a case of insurance fraud. I covered the company well with evidence. They even had drive cam video to prove that the guy was making up a story. They admitted that they reported this on HireRight as an accident. There was no accident in any way shape manner and or form.
I can only assume that the highest management at Magnum wants this two faced business mentality.
