Running with JCT, Part Deux

Sweet! What drivetrain did you go with?

 

DT 12 direct drive with 2.18 rears. All Detroit (engine, transmission, rears)

 

It would've been but this blowout cost me a rim and some other miner damage. Also the roadside took over 8 hours in West Texas. Ruined my early load to CA.

I won't plug another super single. Wish I hadn't been such a cheep skate. lol

Jesus 2.18 tears. That truck will cry when it sees a hill

 

I'll always get up a hill, just take s little longer. Lol
Besides, I don't go west of I-35 so I only have hills, no mountains

 

That should be a very fuel efficient set up. Please keep us posted on mpg, I am very interested.

 

That how I spec'd it. I averaged 8.47 with 400k miles on one of my JCT trucks. Looking for 9+on this one. I haul light and don't go west

 

I barely have hills let alone mountains also. But, I only run Texas with the occasional run into Oklahoma. I've gotten lazy at tracking my mpg (I need to get back on that), but I was averaging 8.2mpg. Pretty good for alot of city driving I think.

 

City driving will kill MPG in any setup. Lol
