    #### dude, I have never had to live in my truck but I was always told that was a no no. I was always told if you are gonna jump ship to get your stuff out of the truck first. That sucks but it sounds about right......you quit....the truck is theirs so they probably could have dumped all your stuff.

This is a common in OTR trucking. At all the OTR companies I worked at it was well known that anything left in a truck you didn't have a eyeball on was subject to pilfering.
They all had a policy of not being responsible for anything left on their property, even when in the shop or a personal vehicle left at the terminal while on the road.
I have seen guys get personal vehicles towed who didn't get them registered with the terminal.
It is good advise to travel lite in OTR. I never left anything in a truck that I would be butthurt if I lost. The days of the knights of the road are over. You got such a wide selection of personalities driving & fixing trucks these days that it would be foolish to expect your belongings are safe anytime you are out of the truck.
