Hey everyone,
So I seen that saia is opening a new terminal here in Buffalo NY. And I was wondering what is was like working there. They have the pay posted.
Linehaul says .66-.69 cents per mile with an average of 2,500 miles a week.
P&d says $27.58 to $28.55 an hour.
Now Ive been hurt twice at my current job and I'm out with a back injury at the moment. So I'd be shooting for linehaul. Im just curious on how the company operates and what kind of money I'd be making.
At my current job. It was bakery/food service and I was at a lower starting wage then saia an and worked about 65 hours a week. I would of hit close to $80k. Will I make more at saia? Also how is their family insurance. My company has Atna and it sucks.
Thanks everyone.
Any new information on saia trucking?

They use inward facing cameras and don’t allow CB’s or smoking in the trucks. All trucks are slip seated and new trucks go straight to linehaul. City drivers are heavily micromanaged.
If you can tolerate that, they do have equipment in decent shape.Orlandodriver, bzinger, Texas_hwy_287 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I hurt my ankle was out for ten months and had surgery. Came back for two months and hurt my back.Texas_hwy_287 and JonJon78 Thank this. -

R&L has terminal in Buffalo, IIRC.Texas_hwy_287 and Buffalonytrucker92 Thank this. -
The only thing that makes me nervous about upsf is I'm not sure how it's gonna work with the union. I need consistent work. Can't be called off and stuff. Plus I heard they start you with low pay. Which I'm not complaining about if the insurance is free. -
I interviewed with them not long ago because their new terminal near me meant I could rocket to the top of a seniority list as well as being hired in at top rate.
Unfortunately I had a non preventable accident in January that prevented HR from going forward due to it being recordable.
Aside from the driver cameras they seem like a decent outfit to work for.Buffalonytrucker92 Thanks this. -
