I'm getting ready to get set up with an accountant.
There is someone that I have used for other things. He's very professional, reasonable, I can always get him on the phone, and he seems like a good guy.
He's not a trucking accountant, but he does have one trucking company that he does their taxes.
Should I give this guy a shot or do I absolutely need to have someone that just Specializes in trucking?
If I need to find someone that specializes in trucking where would I even look?
I am in Southeastern Pennsylvania by the way.
Non Trucking accountant?

Nope find a commercial accountant

If he is doing taxes for a trucking company, he should be familiar with truckers returns.
I used to think I absolutely needed someone who did truckers only or predominantly.
Experience has taught me truckers only have a few items that makes our returns different. Mainly daily deduction and depreciation.
Others may disagree with me, I suggest you call ooida. Ask people who provide business answers for a living.Dino soar Thanks this. -
I am a member of ooida. For whatever reason I hadn't thought to call them. That's a great idea.
