It’s been fine. I haul a lot of frozen loads and has been doing well. Between the new trailer and the Vector, I’m using a little more than 50% less fuel. Even on a 90 degree day it actually hits -10 and shuts off. I have a door sensor on it, so that when I’m loading or unloading, and if they don’t let me shut it off, it’s not screaming away at high speed the whole time. Defrosts are also much faster, due to the electric heat. Since it’s electric, it can turn things off when not needed. During a defrost it won’t move air or run the compressor. During continuous it will cycle the compressor on and off as needed. And, during heat mode, when you need it, it uses the electric heat and not the compressor. It’s also a lot quieter and doesn’t vibrate, even during the initial startup or when it shuts off. I was strongly considering the S700 but just couldn’t convince myself to not get the Vector. There are too many things I like about the Vector.

I assume it will be carb compliant like the S700 for it’s life?

No. Carrier X4 and Vector are good for 7 years. You will have to add their DPF device for Evergreen compliance. The Vector could qualify for CARB In Use with its electric standby.
Their DPF bolts to the existing holes that come with every unit and the software is already in the controller. The EGR maintenance on the S series TK units, that’s how they reach Evergreen status, adds 250 bucks to your 3k hour service.

I woke up to do my walk around and found someone hit my trailer while I was sleeping. There’s so much room at this truck stop I’m at. How?

Man I hate to see that. You buy something nice and take care of it only for some jack off to come along and mess it up.

Aww man! I have a theory of trucking: the newer the equipment the greater the chance of it being hit.

I took a brand new triaxle reefer out to be decaled; a week later one of our drivers didn't hook properly and dropped it.

It was bound to happen eventually, just wish it wasn’t so soon.

Sucks man. You're right, it was bound to happen but it sucks that it happened so soon.

Unacceptable. They will f... up something that's your livelihood and just drive off. Must have been one of those driver's shortage solution individuals.

I hope that forklift operators are not too bad on the inside of the trailer. That's too expensive to be abused like they do abuse my van sometimes.
