I would love to see this pass and signed into law.
The back ups, shortages and crash lawsuits, not to mention the road rage incidents will really make traveling an adventure.
If the motoring public, including other truck drivers think it's fun now when 1 governed truck tries to pass another wait till we all are 65 mph. The lines will be epic.
The freight is just gonna have to wait.

I don't think this has a chance to go anywhere but you'd think that there might be some pushback from the many industries that depend on ground transportation.

Sadly they won't pass a law.
It'll be some nameless faceless unaccountable bureaucrat at the NTSB or some other alphabet soup agency.

    "Notice of approved rulemaking."

Congress critters can't write unpopular laws, they have to be reelected.

Maybe I didn't exhibit enough sarcasm. I've been told for years that 65 or less is great for safety. But yet I still see trucks flipped over. Or cars under trucks. If the megas would actually train drivers. Safety would be better. And if 4 wheeler's were taught better there would be less car semi wrecks. But everyone is in a hurry, and the big trucks are always in the way. My ex gal mother would always say. Yall truck drivers are a nuisance to the public.

This wouldn't even be a topic if professional drivers would have acted professionally on the roads for the past couple of decades.
