Thinking about different directions. With my wife climbing in and snatching gears in a couple weeks. Should I stick with this FedEx Ground? It’s decent money clearing 1200 each and home at least every weekend. But that’s the end of the benefits. Wouldn’t mind running east/west but not being out several weeks at a time and no way I’m running west in anything under 70mph. But also thinking about buying another truck.
What OTR companies are out that you know about, that fits those requirements? Living in middle Tennessee so I’d prefer running the super 40 or 10. Or should I say F that and stick where I’m at.
Just scaling out my options.

If teaming is your thing. Seek out a LTL or cryogenic carrier. These type companies would be more worthwhile than a typical OTR outfit. I no a driver at Air Products that made 117k and his teammate made the same.

I can honestly say I got lucky. Helllllll wasn’t too many years ago we were doing good to bring in $800 a month trying to get by working in factories that were either closing or laying off. Lmao it took 12 years before seeing our first vacation. Going from barely 800 to 9800-12000 a month.

If you're content where you are and making that much weekly plus the unfortunately true fact that too many company's false advertise (lie) about almost everything including pay AND you're not made well beyond livid every day from your own office team mates way they treat you, bs and screw ups, lack of organization, and inability to get anything done that you need in a reasonable time although they sit at a desk twiddling their thumbs most of the day (I've seen them "work". what dispatcher and office staff do in this industry is truly a lot of nothing) where you are your best option is to stay there.
Unless you own a truck and can buy another for her and get with brokers on your own. That's about the only way to increase income over that. If you change company's you will start at the bottom at the new one and be treated like crap no matter your experience. New-driver pay is not going to bring anywhere close (enough) to 1200/week and you can get better coverage and pay less getting your own benefits than what I see company's offering. Company included benefits are scam-like, deductions from your pay and you still have to pay 500-5000$ deductibles and co pays before insurance kicks in. You can get your own benefits that cover almost everything with minimal co pays and deductibles for a lot less than the deductions amount to monthly and yearly.
In my opinion moving to another company is going to be a mistake you regret. You just cannot believe what a recruiter says because they're either controlled by scripts, paid per sign up (so they'll lie and tell you whatever you want to hear), or not informed enough so they truly don't know things they should or they're purposely given false info to tell you by the company.
