If I gave my word I hold it, thats how my father teach me.
By the way after I corsed this broker I found another load in same city even for more money but pick up was at evening time.Intothesunset Thanks this. -
As a former employee I can tell you that's text book Reed Transport to hold a higher priced truck on a crappy load until you find a cheaper one and drop you at the last minute. How do you think they went from 5-60 employees in a few years because they consistently screw carriers and employees and keep the margins. Shame on you for waiting so long to call their bluff, I wouldn't trust them ever because they are only interested in their own executives retirement. For all those reading this and considering running a load for Reed take warning and also note the heart felt response below is nothing because they didn't spend a minute more researching the issue or trying to help the carrier than they did typing the sentence.

I have been using reed and have not had any problems. I get good rates paid on time paid detention etc. I must be the lucky one. My broker there takes great care of me.

RUN away, Do NOT walk!
Reed are EVIL ethically BROKErs.
I booked a load to Memphis TN a few times with them.
The last time, I sat at the shipper 14 hours, only 45 mins from my house. The deliver spot was 330-7am window for a 190 miles away.
It was after 8am I left the shipper.
I wasn’t told they stop receiving at 7am. And by 6 am they had already changed my delivery appt til the next day! And NO ONE told me, after driving too speed to get to Memphis, only to find out I had to wait almost 20 hrs to delivery.
I had to cancel 2 other loads I booked in advance, and I got proof of all this in writing that they dropped the ball completely and only gave me like $150 for my time. I lost $3000 and hurt my reputation because of these dregs.
And now, they have both of my cell phones blocked and I can never get thru when I can to book the same load.
All for a measly $650 load, and they blackball me as if I’m in the wrong. I’m still considering a lawsuit against this bunch of losers. I have all the proof in writing, emails to and from the receiver about changes I was never informed of, I coulda just went home and waited.
RUN away, Do NOT walk away from this BROKEer.Intothesunset and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
They are hiring and I live right down the road. I gave going into the dispatch end of the business a little thought and just can't do it because of stuff like this. I don't want to #### anyone just because the boss says so or it's the way the company does business.
Intothesunset Thanks this. -
Suckered again! I actually clicked on a 6 year old thread. Stupid me!
Intothesunset, Dale thompson and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
