I have a 3000 watt inverter...i purchased a portable a/c unit...112 volts..when the tractors off and i plug in the ac...about 15-20 mins the inverter starts making this lpud beeping noise...I checked the wires..checked the ground..checked for smoke or smell (in case of fire)...but nothing...I cant figure out why theres a problem with the inverter..with such a strong power flow...and no i dont have anything else plugged in with the ac...has amyone had this problem before?

It's too much for that invertor and it starts crying. The AC unit takes too much power

Most inverters have a low battery voltage shut off.
Have You tried it with the truck running?

What brand is it? A good one with that rating would cost about $3,000.
