New Schneider Costco Dedicated in Houston, TX?

So it looks like Costco just completed a brand new distribution center in NW Houston ( Katy ) about 30 mins from where I live and subsequently Schneider apparently has a new posting for dedicated route driver. I'm going to be starting CDL school and September and completing in December and this kind of dedicated route seems like a perfect first job for a rookie driver.

    My questions would be:
    1. How difficult / easy is this Costco acct? I've read different things about different kinds of dedicated accts, like the Dollar General is one to stay far away from but what little I've been able to find and read on this Costco acct has bee fairly positive.
    2. What are the miles / pay for an acct like this likely to be for a new driver? The add says "potential pay up to $76k / yr" but I'm sure that's for an experienced driver and no where near what a first year driver would make?
    3. The add mentions weekly home time but is that realistic or even likely? I wouldn't mind staying out more than a week at a time but being home every weekend would be great as long as the pay makes it worthwhile.
    4. The add stipulates "3 mos CDL experience required" but I'm wondering if there's any flexibility there? I'll be graduating from a 3 mos / 280 hr training program so I'm wondering if I could substitute some ( or all ) of that for the experience requirement or maybe if I agree to do a couple extra weeks w/ a trainer?

    Thanks for any help!

I don’t see them bending the rules to put a rookie driver on a brand new account.

I drove for Schneider and when I went through orientation there were 3 people that went to the same CDL school that I went to and we all graduated together. These 3 people were hired for the Costco Account. It’s drop and hook and home on weekends. Don’t believe the $76,000 a year. You have to read the language. “Up to $76,000 a year.” It’s a good gig for someone that wants to be home on weekends.

Yeah I figure a rook won't get that kind of money for a while, just trying to get a reasonable idea what a new driver might see? I'm hoping somewhere around $50k? Do you know what kind of experience you went to school w/ had working on that Costco acct? Did it turn out to be a good first job?

    I probably will apply.

You can expect to possibly make $35K - $40K your first year. I didn’t run the Costco Account. I ran regional. It’s a good first job to get experience. You go to Dallas for training. First week of training is classroom. Second week is out with a trainer. Third week is classroom learning the Qualcomm. Fourth week you get a truck and off you go!!! The account is driving loaded trailers from the Costco warehouses to the stores. Drop the full trailers and pick up the empties.

Costco is good to deal with in my experience. Their people are generally on top of things.
