Beware of knight transportation!

    If your a student or experienced driver be careful on which company you choose to work for. I do not recommend knight transportation at all. I have researched on why drivers quit so I set out to experiment at knight transportation and it was nothing I expected. Stay away from this company. Recruiting will tell you what you want to hear to get you to come aboard. Make sure you make it clear on how much your worth and how much you need to make weekly. Not after your orientation. Knight does not pay holiday pay. You will make nothing but pocket change on a 5 on 2 off. If you can live off $700 a wk then you have nothing to worry about but don’t expect to receive bonuses unless you save them fuel or your smart drive camera score on how to drive is good enough. Be ready to layover without pay, no holidays paid. Sit getting load and unloaded No detention pay. Better off driving local and be home everyday. OTR driving is no different than local driving don’t fall for hiring excuses.

    Knight is where I got my start and I did very well there. If you were on 5/2 schedule, that will definitely reduce your earnings. I was there from 2014 until May of 2016.

    Knight done nothing wrong here.
    This is a you problem.
    You wanted to be home 2 days a week,they
    Gave it to you.

    You want the big money,then hit the road
    For a couple of weeks.
    That's how this thing works.

    They can't send you anywhere far away,because
    You got to be back home on Saturday morning.
    There giving you exactly what you asked for.

    That 60 grand they abvertised is for otr road drivers.
    Not 3/4 drivers who work Monday thru Friday.

    The money load is the weekend run.
    Your not getting that.

    For what 500 bucks a week.
    Get real,90 percent of local jobs pay #### wages.
    15 to 18 bucks an hour everywhere you look.
    Work like a dog on some stupid 9pm to 8 am shift.

    We've all been there and done that.
    I'm not giving up 500 a week to sleep in my bed every night.

    I worked local to try it out. Drive a Class B dump truck behind a street sweeper all night. Just driving 20 mph and listening to music with no actual work for $17/hr, 50hr a week, overtime after 40 but very bad to non existing benefits. Make $950 each week gross, home each night and off 2 days a week but hate it and going back otr.
