I am always intriqued by trailers that need a tractor to pull them, usually because it is a self contained MRI unit. Cheaper for the Little Rock VA to hire or rent one than to maybe try to install another.

I am reminded by the surgeon with that new joint I cannot go into heavy industry that uses huge amounts of induction to melt metal or energize magnets in some way etc.

Dont no if you were being a wise guy or not. He was talking about speciality equipment that is permantely mounted inside trailers. Such as a imaging or hearing machines, that are now portable units. So the machine comes to your community, (ie: schools, old folks homes, rural areas etc) instead of them having to trek to the hospital. Or in major cities where the existing hospital has a need, but no available space to build another lab.

  8. no that's not..this is a different one of these were known as specialized transport about 10-15 years ago before CRST bought them out they were division of North American Van lines they were there custom art and non electronics non household division.. When NAVL went kaput CRST basically bought out the company.. it was only a matter of time until they Incorporated like Malone their CRST nonsense it's not the specialized it was back in the day..

Exactly. And STI pays a flat .12 cents fuel discount! Your STI comdata card says "CRST" right on it meaning it Garner's the same huge fuel discount that CRST gets (.40-.55 cents per gallon) meaning every time the STI driver fuels he is paying CRST the difference (~ .50 cents - .12 cents). Reputable companies give you the whole fuel discount.

  10. that's nothing to do most companies do.

when CRST took over specialized transport from NAVL.
most companies do give you a fuel discount when you lease on to them landstar does Schneider does many more mega carriers do.. as
long as you fuel with their fuel card.
however just because you get your fuel discount CRST still runs the show when it comes to STI.

Nobody makes you you their fuel card. There are a lot of options out there for a good discount.
