Folks, this is the new trucking industry, trucking is experiencing a driver shortage and as long as they are breathing they will get hired. Looks like wal mart is now hiring whoever they can

  3. that's the nice thing the last 10 years of CSA to making it easier and easier for people to get into the industry we're not facing a driver shortage..
the problem is we're facing a professional driver lack of trained drivers from back in the day as they walk away.
she no longer about safety professionalism and courtesy it's about give us some money we'll take care of the rest..
2 arms, two legs, one beating heart.. no brain all that's needed it seems

    this actually makes me happy.

when i had something like 25 years experience, i tried to get on with them.

when i had 30 years, i tried to get on with them

    when i had 35 years.....

great driving record too. stable employment, etc,etc.....

they can go suck watermelons thru a garden hose for all i care. (the transport side that is)

now i laugh my butt off at those clowns.

i think it best for wally world to get rid of all of them, and go private fleets.

Well somebody is lying to me then, I’m a driver trainer and I’ve been doing a lot more training this year than I’ve done over the last couple of years. Also, I’ve been dispatched on loads that should have delivered a couple days earlier, and when I ask why I’m being dispatched on a load that is already late, the response is always we didn’t have anybody available to deliver it

    D.Tibbitt and bryan21384 Thank this.

Sounds there's a driver shortage at your company, but that doesn't mean there's a driver shortage in the industry. If there was a real driver shortage in the industry, we'd all be getting paid a lot more.
