There’s no right answers here. It depends on where you are at a particular time in your life and what you want to focus on.

Actually I work for Knight as well and what he is saying holds up no matter how much you drive. I can stay out six weeks at a time and clear 400 one week and 600 the next and 500 the next BEFORE any benefits were coming out. It’s kind of a joke over here. That’s why I’m looking elsewhere. And they do tell guys they can make money running those dedicated out 5 in 2 runs because they are shorter runs? They do some sliding pay scale bs. And they will short you every chance they get.

They make you take routes that are just...not effective and half the time end you up where you don’t belong and then ride your ### the whole way if you don’t take the route or worse, get lost. Their cameras are oddly sensitive about certain things and not about others and they jack your safety score up for no reason.

I don’t know who is making money at this outfit as a driver but it hasn’t been myself or the 4 other guys I know who have quit.

But Knight has all those nice videos on Ytube.
They say how much they care about the family.
    Just not your family.

For what it's worth I know a guy that's worked for Knight transportation for the past 17 years and he's fairly content. Then again he's not one of these newfangled solar powered truck drivers.
He puts in his 10-hour break and he's back rolling again and they keep him moving.

Shut your mouth you fool! Local work SUCKS! That's your story and don't you ever say other wise! You hear? What the hell you trying to do, bring in outsiders? We don't need that! Now, you drop and give me twenty while reciting "local work sucks!".

I know I make more working local than I did running Coast to Coast. It's kind of nice to sleep in my own bed every night plus have a couple days a week off so I can do something fun once in awhile.

My last driver back to the yard today gets to go home to her own house, and sleep in her own bed, and made $594 today, for a 13 hour day, which includes pre trip, fueling, etc. So yes local work pays just fine.

No you don’t you lying, bottom feeding, gremlin! Now, you tell the truth! Local jobs suck and anyone with any sense will stay OTR!

You need to drop and give the Secret Society of Local Drivers Union 25 pushups!

    LOCAL JOBS SUCK!
