Ugh... I’m going to hate these loads of sugar out of Port Wentworth Georgia.... first I showed up two hours too soon for a 2:15 load... only to return at 2 to then be informed that my pickup was for 8:15... so I inform those that need to know... and head to do some shopping during my six hour wait... then I get a txt msg at 4:10 telling me the new pick up is at 4:15... yup, in Five Minutes and I’m 30 minutes away... Then I wait in line for another 15 minutes...

Thankfully they didn’t turn me away... but only because this load was jacked up all day.

And dang, it’s rather tight back here too.

Oh well, suck it up buttercup, I am sure I will be seeing this place quite often when I visit my daughter in Savannah.

I made the mistake of stopping here the other morning just for coffee. Glad it was 3:30 AM. Didn’t blow any tires lol.

Yeah...WM is def a huge mess....dropped in MT Juliet then got bobtailed to WM so could put truck in shop. Needed a new alternator belt and four new batteries. Glad I actually do a pretrip, otherwise belt would have broke going down the road, lol! Grabbed a HP load going to office depot in jackson and swapped out with an owner op so I didn't have to get up at 1am tomorrow. Hurricane relief load to Franklin La. Gotta take long way around through Shreveport then down due to road closures....

So if your trucks have fridges and inverters, how does the fridge stay running without an APU?

The battery system in the truck. It has a built in safety system that will shut off circuits when the volts get low, usually after 2 days of not running it will shut the circuit down. The minute the truck is started it charges the system, builds up the volts and your good to go. After the 7 years here, I’ve never had my system die because of drained batteries.

So WM’s one and only DM is gone. I will say it again, the worst job in a trucking company is anything under the roof of operations. Their revolving door is worse than drivers.

Makes sense. Do they allow for PC driving? Say to stock up during a 34?
