If you take ANY Nsaids regularly and have been for a few years you should have a full blood workup done at least once a year. The GFR test is where the Kidneys are tested. I have a GFR of 76, and that does show mild kidney damage. I take Nsaids ONLY when approved by my physician.

The wife wishes I would take OTC pain relievers.... I run open deck, usually OD loads. I've had a 'bad' back since 17, screwed up my neck in my mid-30s, got a whole mess 'o nerves that aren't wired quite right, then there's the sciatica and migraines.... Sometimes she'll sit next to me knowing I'm gritting my teeth but she knows better than to suggest anything that might mask the issue. I think, for me, I'd rather feel the pain and know what not to aggravate than hide it and screw something up worse than it is.
