So i have a 19 mack anthem with the mp8 motor in it. Would using 1.5 gallons of oil be acceptable to burn in 37,483 miles? No visible leaks anywhere except the blowby tube is little oily. Had oil changed at 70,117 miles and now were at 107600 miles since last oil change. They require you to use 10w-30 oil in this motor.

I wouldn't follow those oil change recommendations. Your a fool if you think the manufacturer has your best interests at heart with those intervals.
Sure sells parts thou!
As for the oil usage, totally acceptable for that kinda mileage. If you changed the oil at 20,000 you probably wouldn't have to add any.AModelCat, Mark E7, Farmerbob1 and 10 others Thank this. -
