Must be a fresh batch of new drivers this week.

I'm not sure what it is, but I've seen a lot of new drivers messing up this week. This morning I was waiting to unload at Costco DC and a guy was "trying" to back in next to me just to park in the waiting area. He had 6 open spots in a row and just couldn't get into any of them. I got out to offer some advice, and he didn't speak English.

Last night I watched a guy stand on a milk carton at the back of his trailer with a can of white spray paint and he covered up some scratches that he undoubtedly made by hitting something. He didn't seem to care that there was a car hauler parked next to him and the over spray was blowing onto a truck load of new Tesla cars.

Then just a few minutes ago a May Trucking driver is flying through the parking lot trying to grab a spot for the night. He was in such a hurry that he didn't pay attention to his tail swing on the back of his trailer and ripped a front bumper off of a brand new Cascadia as the guy slept inside.

Not all new drivers are fresh. Some stay like that for years. :)

Yep i seen a fedwrex take out a sweet pete at loves in newton, ia. Forgot to look in his blindside mirror and the last trailer (doubles) took off that texas chrome. Fedwrex driver was handing pieces of the bumper back to the rightful owner when i went by. Im not even sure what he was trying to do,. Its a shame guys dont care for anybodys equipment

Hate to say it but this is what the industry is coming too. Just keeps getting worse and worse . And all the seasoned vets that know what they are doing are saying bye bye.
The only people the industry can attract because of the low pay dont have a clue, not a clue. Scary actually. It's just a spiraling vicious circle.

The season vets are leaving and low class trash coming in more and more sounds like a prime opportunity for a smart young owner op to get a big piece of the pie

That is true but those guys will be weeded out when the economy bottoms out. It will be a great opportunity for somebody who got the work ethic and understands the new game. Alot of older folks been doing this along time they dont like all the new regulations and laws, but somebody young that doesnt know anything else , it could be a great opportunity. Is all im saying. Somebody young that didnt live the good ol days might not have the same vision as an older gentlemen who been doing this along time, i always been a big believer that perception and how u look at things really is what makes or break u as a a person. One guy might think this industry is #### and has gone to hell but somebody else might say its full of opportunity

Never really looked at it like that. Very true indeed. Makes sence...

I've been waiting 30 years for the riffraff to get weeded out. Just never seems to happen. !! Lol. I guess I'm just getting old and ornery. Dont mind my rant.

I just talked to the guy driving the green Cascadia that lost the bumper. He just got the truck yesterday and spent all morning waxing it. Has 350 miles on it and it's on the first load. He's just sick about it.
