I'd say that's pretty b much accepted anywhere. I'd highlight home once first though myself to unpack the truck then resign so I'm not left high and dry with not enough luggage to carry all my stuff.

    Cali2015 and paul_4lp Thank this.

yeah I'm planning on requesting home time to get all my stuff off at home then resigning after, I'm just confused cause I live away from all terminals as to where to leave the truck, should I HiLite myself to a terminal to leave truck there? And should I give a full 2 weeks notice? or just the 8 days that it takes for them to get me where I HiLited myself?

Where you highlite and where they want the truck parked are usually two different places. Ask if you can get transportation from parking the truck to wherever "home" is.
When I left I gave notice. After the final delivery, they paid me to deadhead about 700mi to get to the yard in Fontana and me to get home in central California. Other companies would have routed me under load to a corporate yard and told me to find my own way home. Use the peoplenet to ask "if I leave, how does it work to get home?" Everything in writing.
I left when things started to slow down. They've lost volume to intermodal and politics.

    Cali2015 Thanks this.

Thank you so much for the info. how long of a notice did you give? Did you give a final day? if so did they let you work the length of the notice you gave them?

    paul_4lp Thanks this.
