Trying to hire O/O in Calgary, AB - what is the best way to find them?

    Hey all!

    As the title says, we are looking to hire additional Owner / Operators in Calgary, AB with flat deck experience. For employees we would typically run a hiring campaign, but looking for Owner / Operators is a bit different. Suggestions and resources appreciated!

    Honestly Kijiji or word of mouth, my last OTR job pulling super b deck was with McEwen Trucking out of Saskatchewan and reason I hired on there was word of mouth. I heard they were fair and treated their guys like gold so I hired on.

    Most of us are hiding doing regional work and getting home weekends for sure and sometimes during the week. Putting in our last few years before retirement.
    Being an O/O is getting too expensive.

    Don't advertise on Craigslist. In the Alberta ads it's almost all scam BC companies running the ads. The same places that have problems with either of Canada's official languages.
