I've seen local contractors in my city doing switches for Holland, as an example. They don't do actual delivery routes or individual small pickups, just drop/hooks at big shippers. That might be why you don't see the contractors with Saia pups and liftgates, just vans.
Any new information on saia trucking?

@Bob Dobalina I actually spoke to the contractors, the way I understood it pays per piece and weight. Also they have regular routes but im not sure if they have a bid for certain routes. One thing for sure is when you star with palletized you start as a company driver hauling saia freight then palletized will ask you if you want to become an owner op.
Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
