big ### cylinders and shafts for HUGE loaders and such (big big big mine) going back to CAT for rebuild. The ones in the middle weigh like 6500lbs each.

I roll up and I'm supposed to take that metal thing ont eh front and some 28' drill pipe.

And maybe one cylinder if it's ready

then it becomes 5 cylinders none of which are ready. "ohhh we'll just put them on the deck"

THEY ARE ROUND, THEY WILL ROLL OFF You need to build some dunnage. And fix those crates and and and.

so we're building the dunnage on the trailer and one guy is cutting a piece with a cordless sawzall and i"m holding it down with my dead weight. and he gets it about big enough and says "is this good?"

yeah, i think so, so he whacks at it and it doesn't break off. Hmmmmmmmm can't really jump on it cuz you'll fall off the trailer. So the guy sits down on the cylinder, rolls up his pant leg, TAKES OFF HIS LEG, hops around and whacks the pieces with his leg until it breaks off

our jaw's (including his boss) all hit the ground.

so last couple days (and probably forever.....................:-( ) they send me out to help on this job moving 80' steel pipes for a gas/oil pipeline.

    20190718_095237_resized.jpg

yeah. the pipes are 80' long, the trailer is stretched out to 65'. about 5 to 6' over the front and 10' plus over the back. making 90 degree plus turns on narrow rural dirt roads. Really, it's great fun.

    20190718_092442_resized.jpg

they move them with a "sucker". it's got it's own motor and it's a vacuum hold on this 5000lb (ish) piece of pipe and they pick them up and place them. They take them off the same way. Pretty wild actually.

but the "access roads" are crap. Luckily i'm the guy behind the dozer who decided to follow directions instead of the guy on the right who just went. 20190718_163529_resized.jpg
