Hi, im a hot shot driver & in February i was busted in Mississippi at a weigh station with a small amount of marijuana & a grinder in the truck. I got 2 tickets for possession and paraphernalia. They also put it on the inspection. I wasn't arrested & i hired a lawyer that can hopefully avoid a conviction for me. Now dont ask me how but my boss said i was such a good driver and asset to the company that they decided to keep me on and put me on probation for 3 months of random testing. I have never failed a drug test. My question is, with that possession and paraphernalia on my cdl, do i have any hope of ever being able to run my own truck & authority in the future or do i need to look at exiting the trucking industry??? Is there a time frame where it will ever come off my record?
I know im a #######. But is there any hope to come back from this?

You'll be driving a 4 wheeler for at least the next 10 years if convicted.HotH2o, FlaSwampRat, Puppage and 1 other person Thank this. -
That’s a tough spot to be in but as stated it’s all going to come down to what the conviction is. For pure nosiness sake how did they find it? I’ve been thru a few inspections before and they never rooted through any of my belongings.

I am speechless... Time to ask all these questions was before bringing drugs into your commercial vehicle.

Hey I admire the fact that you admitted it. Most guys on here claim they failed a drug test, but never do drugs!!!!
