That video is horse ####. The guy cranking has the landing gear in low gear and is cranking with 1 hand when it can be done in high gear with 2 hands faster than whatever drill thing the chick used.

It sure isn't for everyone...but a few might like it. Trailers can actually be purchased new with powered landing gear as well...or retrofitting an older trailer with power gear is possible to if someone is an owner of the trailer as well. I guess for people who only pull someone elses trailers, they have to keep hand cranking them like we have for 80 years.

In my short experience, as an older woman, I dont find it too difficult to raise or lower trailers, lowered or empty, on low gear if needed. It can be a bit of a workout if it's a big chunk low or high, but its not physically painful. So far, lol.

I've cranked a few up that were so low, I had no doubt whatsoever I was completely free of any cardio vascular disease.

We had pup trailers for double set ups at UPS years ago that had air powered landing gear and they got rid of all those trailers because the system was problematic. I wonder if they have gotten any better? Those things were a mess.

Maybe some of you should start pulling low beds...no landing gear on them to deal with. ;)
