I'm not looking for rhetorical responses. That seems to be where you are going with this. Too often people are more concerned with why a question is asked rather than just providing the information. I don't need a counselor. I'm a big boy. I've driven truck long enough to know what to ask.

FTR. In order to keep more, you first have to make more. You can't keep 85k per year if your only grossing 75k. There is a reason I am asking specific questions. If your unwilling to answer them without rhetorical responses, I would be more satisfied with IDK or a non-response. =)

I know, but you're not listening. And my feeling with most people who jump into this and fail is they are doing it for the wrong reasons anyway.

I love trucking and I dont really do this for the money. It's a very competitive business that will eat you alive amd there are surely easier ways to make the same money. You think someone can lay it out on the forum neat and clean what you're going to do out here. What I told you right from the beginning is what anyone else makes is completely irrelevant to you.

We dont know what you want to pull or what type of freight you are looking at. You want to find your own loads? Direct customers? Or are you more interested in the $1.00 a mile plus surcharge deal? Those are important questions. And still no-one can tell you what you're going to make even knowing those very questions.

I guess you didn't see that part about leasing on. I don't want my own authority. It's too much money up front.

As for reasons go. Here is mine. I do Foodservice delivery. I don't want to be pushing a handtruck for another 20 years. Ive been driving for 22 years. I have all the experience anyone can have minus a few specialty areas. When you research, you have to "really research". Let me worry about what's right for me. At 44 years old, I don't need anyone on here telling me that. My whole family is truck drivers and so am I. But if your gonna do research, you really gotta do it. Too many people don't know how to properly research. You need "all" the information or as much as possible to make accurate decisions. It takes time. I'm not interested in opinions. I can form those on my own. If that ruffles anybody's feathers, then that's a you problem. I am just looking for hard data. That is usually best given by personal experiences which is what I am after. Thanks

You're the one with ruffled feathers. I dont give a #### because I already know I can make it. For the 4th or 5th time now I told you it doesn't matter what anyone tells you they make. That's not what's going to happen for you. Lots of variables. Stuff happens. You're not going to have any benefits unless you pay for them and you might make $100,000 or you might lose that. You might make $10,000. It's all over the place. What kind of trailer are you looking to pull and what type of freight scenario do you want?

You want specific numbers but there are none .....there are endless ways to make or lose money and everyone's income / expenses are completely different even "leased on"

I guess my question is too complicated. Let me simplify it for you.

Tell me what you are getting personally. If you don’t want to tell me. That’s perfectly fine. If you do, I’m grateful.

I can’t believe you guys are so hung up on more than that.

If it makes you feel better. Yes I know they will very. So tell me what your getting. I can use the information for myself to make my own decisions. It’s really not a complicated thing I’m asking is it? I don’t know what you guys are getting. That’s why I’m asking. I won’t ask anymore if all we are gonna do is dance around this topic. If your stuff varies personally, then I’ll settle for an average as well if it helps. Sorry to be such a burden with these incredibly difficult questions lol.

Because there are too many keyboard warriors. Nobody has the stones to say 1/10th of what they say in person. So they say it from the comfort of there computer.

No. I’m not new to Internet forums. My experiences take me back AOL and chat rooms from the mid 90’s.

I guess I’ve never understood what a person is trying accomplish be being sarcastic? Is there a self serving good feeling? I guess that’s what I get for coming in the Internet for information. You have to sift thru all of people’s propoganda to get to the heart of information if it’s even available.
