Focus on the flatbed. If you insist on dry van just get a cheap one and let it sit until something good is available. I'm betting it will be sitting for months at a time. Dry van is terrible and if you think multi-stop, driver assisted or nursery loads for dry van's might be different from that typical cheap van freight, you would be wrong because it isn't.

I had a direct customer once, where I could leave home loaded with a dry van, I bought two of them, one of the worst decisions. I liked my customer all right, but in less than three months, I let someone else have them loads and those vans sit there till after they were paid for, I only used one a couple of times to help a friend or relative move.
As far as I am concerned the worst day ever with any kind of open deck beats the best day with a box, I am just not wired to deal with the people, the supposed appointments, lumpers, or anything else I ran across, but I had to try it. lol
I pull some now, but it is strictly drop and hook, and the drop is 24/7 and my empty return paper work is in the bin. I don't have to talk to anybody on either end if I don't want to. lolrollin coal Thanks this. -
And, no, I don't think, as you put it, a "multi-stop, driver assisted or nursery loads for dry van's might be different"
Nothing I've written in this or any other thread stated or implied this.
If I have a specific question(s) regarding o/o, I'll start my own thread and provide whatever relevant details that are asked of me. I'll focus on members with a track record of providing well-thought out responses; the rest can infer and project whatever makes them happy.
To the OP: apologies for the temporary hijack.Last edited: Jul 21, 2019

You misunderstood my dialogue with ANOTHER member and decided to project that I:
a) plan on buying a dry van and flatbed trailers
b) I actually think doing "multi-stop, driver assisted or nursery loads for dry van's might be different"
Then you take that misinterpretation and dole out info which I never asked for.
Like I said in post #23, if I have a specific question(s) regarding o/o, I'll start my own thread and provide whatever relevant details that are asked of me. I'll focus on members with a track record of providing well-thought out responses; the rest can infer and project whatever makes them happy.
Now let's see if you actually live up to your statement: "never mind" which you managed to sneak in right after good old fashioned name calling.Last edited: Jul 24, 2019

I was just trying to help you out and you come across as a dick in your reply back. Dry van is a waste of time it really doesn't matter if it's yours or someone else's. You'll figure it out.

I got rid of it several months ago. I bought it brand new back in Jan 15 and here the past year or so it sat around for months on end doing nothing. I should have just kept my old 2007 utility but I was on a roll booked a lot of high dollar stuff in 2014 and thought it would last forever lol. As new as it was that was a lot of cash tied up and it was only losing value with every passing day so I got rid of it. Been working a lot more consistently with a reefer the past couple of years. The money is a lot better too.

Nothing screams IGNORE ME more than coming in here with a holier than thou attitude from somebody who rarely says anything, constructive or otherwise. For the most part, people on these forums are generous with their time and advice. Come across as an arrogant prick, and you won't hear anything but crickets chirping back at you.dclerici1 and rollin coal Thank this.
