This article scares the socks off me.
The list is a 99.9% match to my inner self. Except you would not notice by looking at me.
Vacation isn't that what trucking is? The general bull the carriers even give drivers is "hey we are not a travel agency." Many people get into trucking to see the "open road." So life should be peachy right?
The fantasies and realities of trucking are as different as night, and day.
The stress is insane some days. And let's not forget the constant clock now for most drivers.

I usually run 3 weeks out and 4 days home. Believe me if you had to deal with my family by the 2nd day at home you’re begging to go back to work! :violent1:
(All in good humor love my family but they drive me up the wall lol)

Me and the wife haven't taken a vacation in two years. Can't figure out where to go, I usually just take two weeks off in the summer to spend out on the boat with my daughter. They both wanna go somewhere now and we can't decide. I was thinking about the middle of nowhere in the southwest somewhere. I don't like the cold and I live where almost everyone else on Earth goes to vacation so that makes it tough to get away. I agree you need a break to decompress a lil and nothing beats that more than getting away from the norm for a week or two.

That's right dude down here in the great southern land if one starts a permanent job they are automatically entitled to 4 weeks annual leave, woo hoo I just took mine 2 months ago. What i find is if you can't get some decent time off to relax, go down to the beach or take a walk in the park. or watch a funny movie laughter is always a good way to relieve stress.
