This is a problem. Leasing on with a company that does not know what they are doing. Trouble is how does a guy know beforehand? Only way is to know their history of payment. At this point you can not move any more boats until you can pay down your credit cards. If they are legitimate they will understand and find a way to compensate you. I have been paid on every load that I have done since 2008 except one. The brokerage I was hauling for specialized in military freight they had a good opportunity just did not manage it right and went out of business. That is what normally happens.

Start reading here. You have to start learning in order to be successful. If you had the best insurance company, best truck,Trailer, etc. Without knowledge people fail.

I’ve survived a really rough first year in this business..... your insurance will eat you alive the first year with a brand new M/C & DOT numbers.....I have developed a few direct customers but the majority of my loads still come from Loadboards.
Save as much as you can before u decide to take the leap. Best of luck mate.

If you’re DOT M/C numbers are new Progressive will probably be your only option as most other underwriters will apprehensive in writing a policy for new companies.

Not trying to be argumentative but Progressive has only been insuring Commercial trucks for a few years. I would not recommend them to anyone. They can be the highest quote you get. Truck insurance companies have been insuring new numbers ever since they have been in business. Find a truck insurance company they are everywhere!

I disagree buddy ....and believe me I have done a ton of homework......I dare you to call any company with DOT Numbers less than 6 mos old, and they all will have Progressive as the underwriter, or worse tell you they can’t insure you
