2016 VNL. Rt door locks with key or inside handle, but will not lock or unlock with remote or left handle (I know, push it twice) . I installed a new actuator, it has a soft click when trying to lock or unlock, same as the old one. Left one has a hard clunk when it works. Everything works easily, and is lubed, wiring does not appear damaged in door. Is there a solenoid or switch somewhere else?
Electric door locks, new right one, still doesn't work with remote or left switch.

OK, a lot of views but no answers. I opened up the drivers side door and everything looks good. I hooked up the lock actuator I took out of the passenger side and it made no difference. My brother works with electronics and he suggested looking for a relay. I searched the 'net and found something about a "central door lock module". It is located under the fuse panel. Now to try to find the part# and cost of one of them.

Success! The door lock module fixed my problem, mostly. The remote now doesn't work for either door, but I can live with that. The doors lock and unlock with the key and the switches on the door.
I got it used for $60 from ebay seller Arizona truck parts.QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
Put a old style manual door on there.
The minute you are on top of old Raton in a -30 white out trying to fix a strap or something and that battery tanks and click. That's your life at risk. -
Why? The key locks work as they should. It is just a convenience to be able to operate the far side door from the driver's seat.
