I have been fighting leaking slips joints for a while and about determined to replace the manifold. The slips joints are fairly loose where it slides together. I was curious if anyone has ran the pdi exhaust manifold on a Cat C13. What are your thoughts? Any leaks? Any better performance? Is it worth 1400?

I would say that if your changing it out anyway I would do one, It will help it breathe better. Most guys also upgrade the turbo along with the manifold, might also look at the Fleet Air Filters and I think you will get that Cat perked rite up.

Wondering if you have open exhaust or just stock mufflers, If there stock you might look at a flow through that still muffles the noise but lets the air flow better.

Performance is good except lag, which I think is part of manifold slip leak. I have the 500hp and stock dual mufflers with cats removed, just a few baffles left. Egts are fine and can pull 60psi boost on hard pull. Just need a final solution for factory manifold leak.

Never put a factory cat manifold back on. If it's me and I take a manifold of for any reason it gets aftermarket. I've always used PDI but would not be against the other one (bulley dog/everyone else). Not sure if the C13 used exhaust sleaves is do get PDIs stainless one piece.

I had a performance diesel inc manifold on a C15 and think it was worth the money not to breathe exhaust fumes in the cab. It won't leak anymore for sure and after about 8 years running it never did. The stock one is junk.
