Irregular Tire Wear on Steers

It could be a bad drag link, front wheel bearing has play, bad kingpins, bad tie rod ends, bad front shocks, incorrect tire pressure.

 

What does the other front tire look like? If it's worn like that on the outside edge of the drivers side tire I'd say the driver is a zipper hugger. Running on the outside edge of ruts in the road.

 

Look up Mike Becket of MD alignment. He can tell you exactly what is going on.

 

Try rotating them. It can't hurt.
And put new shocks on truck if they are more than a year old. Yearly axle alignments are recommend.

 

I had a similar issue a couple years ago, and the problem was the leaf spring bushings.

 

That’s called river wear. Common problem, sometimes even if everything’s good, simply time for new tires. My old Truck always had it after 80-90k. Still did it after bushings, alignment, shocks. Just weak point of steer tire. Mine was both tires though, Get everything checked, they’ll figure it out, hopefully just needs alignment. Meanwhile flip tire around, or rotate both

 

Maybe alignment. I had similar wear and thats what it was. Measure from the inside of the wheel to the frame on the front and back of the wheel.
