But thanks for your suggestion anyway, Midwest Trucker. I believe that trucks are more disposable nowadays, though they do not cost less than before.

In my opinion find the engine, trans, suspension and rears you need at the price you want. Then bust out the mag drill and make it the wheelbase you need. $200 at the driveshaft shop and youve got what you wanted. You cant have every parameter met if cost is a factor at all. Time, money or both.

Buy an older pre emissions truck and rebuild whats needed. You be in it for the same $ or less and have a better truck that will last a lot longer.

If you intend to play in the mud have yourself a proper manual mack. I managed to do a few things with mack offroad that I would not put on some of the other road trucks out there.

I considered buying this truck https://www.truckpaper.com/listings...083/2009-freightliner-columbia-112?ST=Arizona to do haul local aggregate before getting a job hauling mail. If you’re smart enough to buy three trucks, you’re smart enough to buy four. At some point you may not drive and just manage. Rich people are cheap. Be cheap.

And in five years of driving I’ve been lucky with no mechanical problems. But I’ve had a #### ton of emission problems on new and trucks with miles. Stay away from emissions.

I ALSO own a 2009 Columbia 112 and I paid $17,000 for it (including buyer premium) in 2016

Within the last year my good friend was working with a couple of dealers to trade in his T800 for a glider.

His trade value was anywhere from $24,000 to $29,000. Within a week of trading it in it was online for $45900. $15,000 mark up isn’t to crazy from a big truck dealer.

Like anything someone always wants to get rid of their equipment more than someone else.
