Anybody know of an insurance company that insures new companies in Texas? Not progressive I already have a quote from them

I believe he meant .. Canal.

Also, you could try Northland and Great West. Not sure if they take new companies, worth a try.

I had great West for five or six years. When I hit a cow and totaled my truck, they were pretty easy to work with. I think I was treated fairly anyway. I think True North takes new entrants. The only thing I didn't like about Great-West with it was impossible to get my agent on the phone, I think he he spent entirely too much time on the golf course

Look up "Three by Berkshire Hathaway" I literally have spent the last month shopping insurance for our renewal (we are one year in business). Started year one Progressive with our butt handed to us financially. Went to renew and IT WENT UP!!! like 6k with no claims. Tried maybe 20 different companies and luckily got in touch with Berkshire directly. It is a new combined product and the savings came in at over 8k cheaper!!! Best part I now have additional coverages I did not get at progressive. (E&O, Business Property, WC, and Cyber) also deductible went down. They are slowly rolling out but said they are doing very well in saving small companies in trucking money.

We are out of Texas btw.

This is another example of how Progressive Insurance does to new people. They can go pound sand. After you are with Berkshire for a few years, with a good record you can get a better rate with Canal. Good luck I wish you luck in the future.

Progressive seems like the only option for a new venture/new cdl as far as I can tell. Gotta get through that first year in order to get a quote from anyone else.
Berkshire wouldn't insure me if I claimed more than 500 mile one way at all, I got to be able to reach NYC from Miami so I couldn't accept 500.
Couldn't wait any longer to start working so I am in Progressive's net for the year. Will get insurance elsewhere the moment I can. Will have the broker shop around every couple of months.
