Mom N Pop restaurants you can fit at.

Yep, I usually eat at Mel's but figured I would splurge one night and get a room with the buffet. A mistake I won't repeat. Mel's has great food.

 

I think it might be Newborn Truck Stop now. I was there a week or so back. Right next door to the PFJ, has a mom-n-pop restaurant attached.

 

Not 100% on topic but a few miles down the road in Sparks there is a TA basically on the same property as Western Village casino. Western Village is a peppermill property with a Pancho and Willies and the best steak house in town.

Rooms are about $40 with CDL on weeknights and they are niiice.

I been out traveling since the 80,s. One of my fuel cards was a 76 unical. So I seen a lot of old truck stops with big parking lots, go ba. south of k town i75 had a big gravel lot. That,s gone turned into a chain truck stop,would be the last one I can think of. I needed a parking spot, had the cb shop there mod my old cobra 29.

 

Just passed the Ranch Hand in Montpelier, ID. Wish I had time to stop.

 

I had Dinner at Hubbard a few weeks back, Service Was Good-Then went and had a few cold ones inside Erin's....

BTW- Where is this Diner at Leroy?? I can't believe I don't know about it
